But I'm not sure it was worth the headaches. I did finally get everything set up properly and my automatic backups are working. This non-intuitive product should have much better feedback when something goes wrong. Only after I went to the forums for help was I directed to the ATI Log Viewer, which gave me the clues I needed to correct the situation. There was no explanation that I could find for this, and it was statistically highly improbable that all of my backup images were corrupt. I was told repeatedly that the file was corrupt after about 0.25 seconds! I tried this with several different backup images with the same result. I navigated to the file, right clicked on the file and chose Acronis/Validate from the context menu that ATI had installed. They work fine in 2017 trial version that I have so I bought 2018 and now they dont.

This disc boots fine and my mouse and keyboard work until I select the version that I want to use 32 bit or 64 bit then the mouse and keyboard stop working. I just upgraded to 2018 and made a recovery disc.

I had the NAS drive mapped into Windows as the Z: drive. USB Ports not working after booting from recovery CD. If you use Acronis, you MUST download the Acronis Log File Viewer from the forum. And I am an ELECTRICAL ENGINEER! The interface does not give clear errors, when it gives errors at all. I FINALLY got this version set up to do my automatic backups, but only after some forum time. I have used Acronis True Image (ATI) for years, but it has been a few years since I last updated. The program had a great auction price, arrived quickly, and installed successfully on three PCs. With that said, this is not the fault of eBay or the s eller and I've installed True Image for at least 25 clients. And forgot about restoring a single folder or heaven forbid, a full machine restore. I can say with confidents 80% of my clients couldn't setup a weekly full backup in under an hour, and forget about setting up email notification if the backup fails, establishing the number of backups to keep, determining the difference in the backup methods, etc. I've done tech for 35 years, and find myself trying to figure out what some of the options do. Acronis forgets most people don't live in the backup software all day, and I feel I have to partially relearn the program each time the settings need to be changed.Д®very setting should have a ? so (clearly written) help could be found on every option. MVP Builder isn't capable yet (updated) for ATI 2019 & DD 12.5.First, I hate the interface of True Image. WinPE & WinRe are done through ATI and as such you dont get DD and Univ Restore along with ATI on ONE bootable media. I tired using the Linux kernel parameters as suggested above All SAME USB 3.x hardware that worked with ATI2017 now doesn't work with ATI 2018/2019.

so something happened to the USB drivers on ATI 20 Linux BootMedia. on version ATI 2017 this all worked fine on USB3.0. One thing tho I CAN use ATI2018/2019 USB3.0 to backup, but when I go to validate or recover I get a fail error, so if you reboot with image backup media hooked up to USB2.0 then I can validate and recover.

Wanting to get ATI,DD and Univ Restore all one one bootable cd or flash.

Yup I have the same USB3.0 issue with when upgrading from 2017 to 2018 and it still is there with version 2019 of the LINUX BootMedia, WinPE works fine, and the MVP WinPE tool isn't updated yet to work with ATI 2019 or DD12.5 yet and it appears the newer Universal Restore module too, as I tried to install these and only got ATI 2019 to show up.
